Candid Yadi: DIY & Cruelty Free Beauty

Lately, I have noticed my skin flaring up and giving me some issues. I have never really suffered from bad breakouts and I’m not saying my acne issues have been bad either this year. I have also noticed that I’ve been getting acne scars from picking at my skin, yeah I know I shouldn’t. So, I’ve decided to go the natural route and try some natural organic products to get rid of the acne scars since my skin has been super sensitive to store-bought products. Today I will be giving you the ingredients to the spot treatment/mask  I’ve been using to treat my acne scars. The best part of it is that it’s cruelty-free and basically inexpensive!

What you’ll need:
1 tbsp- Ground Cinnamon
1 tbsp- Ground Nutmeg
1 tbsp- Raw honey
1/2 lemon

Why these ingredients?
Honey is a natural anti-inflammatory healing agent and is full of antioxidants. Honey also keeps the skin hydrated and looking radiant.

Nutmeg is another anti-inflammatory agent that helps reduce acne. It also has some major healing powers and reduces acne scars.

Cinnamon is an ingredient that we all will love because it makes the skin look supple and plump while at the same time reduces the sight of fine lines.

Lemon is known to be anti-bacterial and full of Vitamin D. The fact that it’s anti-bacterial helps fight future breakouts.

How to apply:
Apply this concoction to your acne scars use a Q-tip and leave it for about 15 minutes at night;  I use a different side of the Q-tip every time I dip it into the mixture, for cleanliness purposes. After 15 minutes have passed, wash your face as you normally would and you’re all set. It’s that easy! repeat the process for about a week. If you’re a trooper you can sleep with it,  your pillows will be sticky, though.

Since I am at the beginning of trying this spot treatment out, I will update you in exactly one week to show you the after pictures.  If you’ve tried this or any other DIY face treatments let me know in the comment section, I’d love to try some other ones out!
