Ingredients
  

  • 1 large thumb of ginger cleaned
  • About 5 pieces of fresh turmeric cleaned
  • 2 lemons peeled
  • 2 mandarins peeled
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • 4 oz of filtered water

Instructions
 

  • Soak the Ginger & Turmeric: Add the unpeeled ginger and turmeric to a bowl of water. Let them soak for about 10 minutes to loosen any dirt. Scrub well. There’s no need to peel—just make sure they’re clean.
  • Prep Your Juicer or Masticator: Whether you’re using a regular juicer or a masticating juicer (which retains more nutrients), make sure it’s clean and ready to go.
  • Juice the Citrus: Peel the lemons and mandarins. Add them to your juicer first to get that bright citrus base.
  • Juice the Roots: Add your ginger and turmeric pieces to the juicer—not the water they soaked in. Press them thoroughly to extract all the powerful juice.
  • Add Pepper & Water: Stir in a pinch of black pepper (this helps activate curcumin in the turmeric) and 4 oz of water to dilute the concentrate a bit.
  • Store: Pour into small glass jars or shot bottles. Store in the refrigerator and enjoy within 5 days.
